Farhan Akhtar to revive plans for ‘Jee Le Zara’
Farhan Akhtar is reportedly shifting his focus away from ‘Don 3’ following Ranveer Singh’s exit from the project, turning his attention instead to reviving the long‑awaited film ‘Jee Le Zara’.
According to Pinkvilla sources, Farhan believes the casting of the new Don is “crucial” and requires considerable time and deliberation. “He wants to be absolutely sure about who steps into the role, and it is a longer process,” the source said.
With the casting stage for ‘Don 3’ expected to take longer than anticipated, Farhan has reopened discussions around ‘Jee Le Zara’, the road‑trip drama originally announced with Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles. The film has been eagerly awaited since its announcement and remains a passion project for the filmmaker.

“’Jee Le Zara’ has always been special for Farhan. With ‘Don 3’ taking time at the casting stage, he felt this was the right moment to revive discussions with the original team and push the film forward,” the source added.
