Eight‑foot rat snake rescued at Shah Rukh Khan’s home Mannat
An eight‑foot Indian rat snake was safely removed from Shah Rukh Khan’s Mumbai residence ‘Mannat’ on Sunday, prompting a short‑term search operation by local wildlife rescuers. The non‑venomous snake was spotted in the property’s outdoor area, after which a trained rescuer captured it and released it into a designated habitat in line with Forest Department protocol.
A second snake was also reported on the premises but could not be located despite an extended sweep of the grounds. Officials confirmed the species involved was the Dhaman, a common rat snake frequently found in Mumbai’s coastal belt during monsoon months.
