‘Dabangg 2’ joins 100 crore club at domestic box office

It was expected but no-one could have preempted that ‘Dabangg 2’ would hit the 100 crore mark so early on. Yet just six days after release, and incidentally on Salman Khan’s birthday, it has made it.

The overall earnings were 100.78 crores this morning and no doubt that the cash registers were still taking money throughout. A new year weekend is all set and it would be right to imagine that the box office figures will continue to rise.

It is thought that ‘Dabangg 2’ has surpassed the record set by ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which also starred Khan earlier this year. One wonders whether 200 crores is on the board?
