Arjit Taneja quits Star Plus’ ‘Jhanak’

Arjit Taneja has officially stepped down from his role in Star Plus’ widely followed drama ‘Jhanak’.

Taneja joined the series earlier this year as part of its generational leap, bringing fresh energy to the storyline. However, it has now been confirmed that he has exited the production, reportedly due to the demanding nature of the filming schedule.

The show’s runtime was recently extended from 30 to 45 minutes, significantly increasing the workload for its principal cast. Sources suggest that the expanded screen time and heightened narrative focus on Taneja’s character were key factors influencing his decision to leave.

Rajveer Singh has since been cast in the role previously portrayed by Taneja and has already commenced filming. His entry marks a new chapter for ‘Jhanak’, as the series continues to evolve with its refreshed ensemble.
