Anurag Basu refutes rumours about changing script of Kartik Aaryan-starrer after ‘Saiyaara’
Director Anurag Basu has dismissed speculation that his forthcoming romantic musical starring Kartik Aaryan is being reworked to avoid parallels with Mohit Suri’s recent blockbuster ‘Saiyaara’.
The film, which remains untitled, has come under scrutiny for reportedly featuring similar plot elements. With ‘Saiyaara’ achieving significant box office success, rumours have circulated suggesting Basu and his team are revising their script to ensure originality.
However, Basu has firmly denied any such changes, stating, “Mohit and I share a close bond, and I’m genuinely pleased about the success of his film. The only resemblance between our projects is that both centre around a rockstar and his personal journey.”
