ZEE TV & ZEE5 launch ‘Ideabaaz’ to showcase new entrepreneurial talent
India’s very own, proudly home-grown ambition incubator is now changing lives on the small screen with big ideas. ‘Ideabaaz’, an uplifting reality show being aired on ZEE TV and ZEE5 is giving budding entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of investors and to realise their dreams with potential funding and mentorship.
The show is led by Showrunner and Creative Head Kailash Gandhi, who has worked in the technology and media sector for more than 30 years.
Gandhi, who founded Bandra Boy Productions, has created content across formats and platforms. Speaking about ‘Ideabaaz’, he said, “When I met Raj Nayak, Jeet Wagh and Mudit Kumar, the founders of ‘Ideabaaz’, the scale of their vision convinced me that this was going to be one of the best IPs I have ever worked on… Creating a platform to boost the startup economy and help founders get funding, mentorship, legal services and access to VCs is very fulfilling.”
The show has partnered with IIT Madras Global and NITI Aayog’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Programme.

Reflecting on his career, Gandhi said he has aimed to stay updated with industry changes throughout his three decades in media. He described ‘Ideabaaz’ as a platform for participants from diverse backgrounds, noting that ideas can be presented in any language. “During the scanning process, we came across many ideas and stories from people facing various challenges,” he said.
Gandhi added that the show aims to maintain a respectful approach toward participants. “Even if a startup doesn’t get funded, it receives mentorship or support, or can return in the next season,” he said.
He described ‘Ideabaaz’ as a platform intended to highlight entrepreneurs from across India, including those from tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and noted the growing range of products and innovations emerging from the country’s startup ecosystem.
