Yami Gautam joins Kriti Sanon in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Nayi Haveli’
Renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai is set to reunite with Kriti Sanon for his forthcoming film ‘Nayi Naveli’, which is being described as a fantasy drama rooted in Indian folklore.
According to Mid-Day, Yami Gautam is currently in discussions to join the cast as the parallel lead, introducing a fresh on-screen pairing that is expected to generate considerable interest.
A trade insider revealed, “Rai has been meticulous about the tone of the narrative—he wants it to remain anchored in traditional Indian folk elements while delivering the grandeur expected of a fantasy film. Casting Kriti was the first step, as she brings both the acting calibre and star presence needed for the role. She will portray a character that is part-folkloric heroine, part-mystical warrior. Talks are now underway with Yami for a substantial role. The fact that Kriti and Yami have never shared screen space before adds a layer of novelty that is sure to attract attention.”
