Aanand L Rai to make “love universe” franchise

Aanand L Rai, the filmmaker behind hits like ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ (2011) and ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013), is reportedly working on creating a “love universe” – a series of interconnected films centered around romance.

Rai is already set to release ‘Tere Ishq Mein’, starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, later this year. According to Mid-Day, he now plans to explore the legendary Indian love story ‘Heer Ranjha’, focusing on Heer’s perspective. This will serve as the foundation for his larger cinematic universe, with more love stories interwoven into a single franchise.
