Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount Global have initiated talks for a potential merger.
CNBC reports that the CEO of each company, David Zaslav and Bob Bakish met earlier in the week to discuss plans to work together. The talks have been described as preliminary and may not materialise.
Axios reports that the CEOs discussed how each company’s main streaming service, Paramount Plus and Max (formerly HBO Max), could merge to rival Netflix and Disney+.
