Vishal Bhardwaj is set to return to basics with another adaptation of a famous Shakespeare play, starring Shahid Kapoor.
After successes with ‘Maqbool’ (2004) and ‘Omkara’ (2006), Bhardwaj wants to stick to his hit formula of making an Indian version of Shakespeare play. Word has it that he could be make a film based on either ‘Hamlet’ or ‘King Lear’. Bhardwaj and Kapoor have worked together previously in ‘Kaminey’ (2009), which proved a hit at the box office. His recent outing ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ (2013) was a disaster.
A source told Mid-Day, “Vishal۪s outing (Kaminey) with Shahid last time was a success. However they weren۪t on very friendly terms as both had creative differences. Later, Shahid even refused to do Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. But now all۪s well between the two.”
