UK TV Reach: Colors returns to No.2

Colors returned to the No.2 position in UK weekly reach ratings data for week ending Sunday 24th January 2016.

According to official figures, Star Plus remained the nation’s favourite Asian channel with a reach of 974,000 viewers (last week 1,016,000 viewers), followed by Colors with 606,000 viewers (last week 495,000 viewers) and UMP Movies was in third with 595,000 viewers (last week 732,000 viewers), &TV was in fourth with 575,000 viewers (last week 487,000 viewers), followed by Star Gold in fifth place with 556,000 viewers (last week 500,000 viewers) and Zing next with 504,000 viewers (last week 524,000 viewers).

The next tier consisted of Hum TV with 465,000 viewers, SAB TV with 455,000 viewers, Rishtey with 444,000 viewers, Geo TV with 318,000 viewers, Life Ok with 316,000 viewers and PTC Punjabi with 284,000 viewers.

The bottom tier consisted of Akaal Channel with 225,000 viewers, DM Global with 214,000 viewers, Venus TV with 211,000 viewers, Prime TV with 205,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 183,000 viewers, PTV Global with 172,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 156,000 viewers and TV 99 with 101,000 viewers.

ARY News dominated the news space with a reach of 396,000 viewers (last week 351,000 viewers). ARY News has had a slow start in 2016, with January 2016 begin the lowest reach for the channel in a year. Aaj Tak registered 276,000 viewers, followed by Geo Tez with 260,000 viewers, Geo News with 257,000 viewers, ABP News with 218,000 viewers, Dunya TV with 198,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 148,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 121,000 viewers and News18 India with 69,000 viewers.
