UK ratings: Zing overtakes Colors
The recently turned free-to-air entertainment channel, Colors has been toppled in the ratings by music and lifestyle channel Zing from the ZEE Network.
According to latest weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 15th September from BARB, Zing was the fourth most watched Asian entertainment channel with 622,000 viewers (last week 516,000), while Colors slipped to fifth place with 566,000 despite the launch of its big ticket reality show ‘Bigg Boss 7’. The channel was down from its weekly reach 618,000 last week.
Star Plus continued to lead the way with 1.057,000 viewers (last week 1,087,000), followed by UMP Movies with an impressive 904,000 viewers (last week 859,000) and Rishtey in third with 832,000 viewers (last week 703,000), followed by Zing and Colors.
The others in the pecking order were Sony SAB TV with 506,000, Star Life Ok with 420,000 and Star Gold with 408,000.
The news genre was led by Al Jazeera English with 919,000, followed by Aaj Tak with 398,000, followed by ARY News with 378,000, Geo News with 314,000 and News18 India bounced back up with 46,000 viewers.
