UMP Movies remains the undisputed market leader for Bollywood movies in the UK.
The channel owned by Disney continues to add new viewers after a slight blip last week. Only a couple of weeks ago, UMP Movies touched a record weekly reach high of 966,000 before falling slightly to 875,000 last week.
The latest data for week ending Sunday 17th June shows UMP Movies trouncing its rivals with a weekly reach of 954,000. The channel, which is quite heavy on its film rotation is still managing to maintain viewership. UMP Movies remains the second most watched Hindi entertainment channel, behind Star Plus – with a huge audience of 1,227.
UMP Movies’ rival, Star Gold couldn’t manage the same numbers. Its weekly reach was at 613,000, down from 683,000 last week.
UMP Movies sister channel, UMP Stars launched in the week questioned and started with just 23,000 viewers tuning in for that week. It is expected to increase in the coming days as it was in the second week of the channel’s launch did the marketing fully commence.
