UK ratings: Rishtey moves up to second place

After moving up to third place in the UK Asian TV ratings last week, Rishtey has done better this week by taking the second spot dislodging Colors.

According to official weekly reach data for week ending Sunday 12th July, Star Plus remained the first choice with 858,000 viewers (last week 912,000), followed by Rishtey with 657,000 viewers (last week 618,000) and Colors in third with 610,000 viewers (last week 583,000). UMP Movies slipped to fourth place with 608,000 viewers (last week 648,000) and Hum TV closing the Top 5 with 531,000 viewers (last week 477,000).

The next tier consisted of &TV with 500,000 viewers, Zing with 435,000 viewers, Star Gold with 433,000 viewers, SAB TV with 378,000 viewers and Life Ok with 325,000 viewers.

The bottom tier saw the battle between Geo TV with 206,000 viewers, Prime TV with 176,000 viewers, Brit Asia TV with 169,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 166,000 viewers, Sikh Channel with 146,000 viewers, PTV Global with 137,000 viewers, Venus TV with 121,000 viewers and DM Global with 117,000 viewers.

ARY News remained the most watched South Asian news channel in the UK with 416,000 viewers (last week 403,000), followed by Geo News with 331,000 viewers, SAMAA TV with 247,000 viewers and Aaj Tak with 208,000 viewers. The next batch consisted of Geo Tez with 194,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 190,000 viewers, ABP News with 186,000 viewers and Dunya TV with 141,000 viewers. News18 India remained bottom of the pile with just 90,000 viewers.
