Talking about the news, Bhushan Kumar who produces the movie in question, ��Mere Apne�۪, confirmed to Hindustan Times, ���When we narrated the script to Smriti, she agreed immediately. It�۪s not just another mother�۪s role. She has a performance-oriented part in it�.
The film also stars Rishi Kapoor and Asin.
