As the world comes to know of the sad demise of Sophiya Haque, many have taken to the public platform of Twitter to express their shock at the news. Haque was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago and died in her sleep on 16th January.

As a VJ on Channel V and also MTV India, Haque was well-known in B-town and her TV and theatre contributions also made her a household name, so to speak.
