‘Takht’ to be Dharma Productions most expensive film ever?

Karan Johar’s much talked about costume drama ‘Takht’, which goes on the floors in March, is set to be Dharma Productions most expensive film ever.

The film’s recce is taking place in Jaisalmer. However, there will portions of the film, which will be shot in Italy, France and other European destinations too.

A source told the Asian Age, “Karan, along with cinematographer Mitesh Mirchandani, National Award-winning art director Sabu Cyril and his assistant directors will be in the desert city for the next five days to extensively analyse the locations and plan the cinematography and set designs. Karan and his team will fly to several European locations, including Italy and France, on January 18 for another round of recce.”

The report adds that massive sets will be erected everywhere from Jaisalmer to Europe with a humongous budget. It is said that the film’s action scenes and costumes have been locked for the film.

‘Takht’, which releases in 2021, stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar.
