Sushant Singh Rajput & Rhea Chakraborty were to work together

Before his untimely death, Sushant Singh Rajput was also in the news due to his rumoured relationship with Rhea Chakraborty. Whilst the pair simply labelled their relationship as “just friends,” their outings, dinner dates and social media public display of affections looked to tell a different story.

According to an interview, the pair were also preparing for their first movie together. The couple were due to feature in Rumy Jafry’s next romantic comedy, reports Times of India.

The filmmaker told the Mumbai Mirror that the script of the film was locked and they were set to begin shooting in May. However, the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown brought everything to a halt. The shoot was due to start in Mumbai followed by a London session. The film was yet to be titled and was supposed to be finished by November.

Jafry added that the film was supposed to be a romantic comedy where he wanted to explore Rajput’s dancing skills. He said that the star was a fantastic dancer and he wanted to use his skills in the movie.

Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai apartment with the post-mortem report confirming the death was due to suicide. His funeral took place yesterday with many Bollywood celebrities in attendance.
