‘Survivor’ to launch on Star Desh instead of Plus

Star Network’s big ticket reality TV show, ‘Survivor’ is now expected to launch on the soon-to-launch Star Desh channel.

The channel, which will take over from Star One early next year will be repositioned and rebranded as a secondary channel to Star Plus but with a focus on a younger generation.

‘Survivor’ has been touted for launch on Star Plus for months and now it seems the show will be shifted to Star Desh to garner more eyeballs to the much talked about new channel.

There are many new show launches that are being shifted from Star Plus to Star Desh to attract more viewers. The other one is ‘Sach Ka Saamna’ hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal. According to reports, it’s ‘Sach Ka Saamna’, which will launch first followed by ‘Survivor’ in the second quarter of 2012.
