Star Utsav to remain free channel in India
Star TV seems to have made a U-turn on plans to make its re-run entertainment channel, Star Utsav a pay channel.
In July, it was announced that Star Utsav will go free-to-air on 16th August, however, this has not happened. Furthermore, TelevisionPoint reports that the channel has renewed its contract with public broadcaster Doordarshan۪s free direct-to-home (DTH) service DD Freedish.
Star Utsav competes with rival channels such as Rishtey and ZEE Anmol.
