Jonas Khan quits Channel 4’s ‘Hollyoaks’
The ongoing cast shakeup at Channel 4’s long running show ‘Hollyoaks’ has claimed its latest victim, with actor Jonas Khan announcing his departure from the show. Khan, known for his role as Zain Rizwaan, took to social media to confirm his exit with a simple yet poignant message: “Hollyoaks! Done.”
Zain Rizwaan first graced the village screens two years ago, quickly becoming a staple character and winning over audiences with his charm. His on-screen marriage to fan favourite Misbah, portrayed by Harvey Virdi, added depth to his character’s storyline. However, recent plot developments have seen their relationship strained by difficulties, culminating in Zain’s character grappling with health issues after suffering a stroke.

Khan’s departure is part of a larger restructuring at Hollyoaks, as the show prepares to reduce its weekly episodes from five to three starting in September. This adjustment necessitates the departure of approximately 20 cast members over the coming months, signaling significant changes for the long-running soap opera.
