Star TV UK is set to get behind the launch of its first ever Urdu fiction ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai’ with a huge marketing blitz in the coming days.

The show, which kicks off on Star Plus UK on Sunday 18th October at 22:00, has already been running teasers on the channel. It stars Imran Abbas, Maya Ali, Waseem Abbas and Hina Bayat.

The director of the show Mehreen Jabbar, recently shared a poster of the show on her Facebook account. In the poster (below), one of the show’s prime sponsors Pepe’s Peri Peri is featured. It seems the popular food chain will be promoting the show at its branches nationwide. The show has also attracted many other sponsors to the show – via House Of Advertising.

Abbas was also recently in the UK for his film project ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and promotions for ‘Mera Naam Yousuf Hai’. He is expected to return soon around the show’s launch.

Mera Naam Yousuf Hai۪ was aired on A Plus in Pakistan earlier this year and did well in the ratings.

This is the first time Star Plus UK will broadcast a Pakistani drama to capture audiences that may have defected to the growing number of Pakistani channels. Previously, Colors, Rishtey and ZEE TV have all broadcast Pakistani shows and have done well.
