Star Jalsha to launch first ever ‘Super Singer Junior’

Star Jalsha has announced the launch of its music talent hunt show, ‘Super Singer Junior’ – a unique platform for Bengal’s truly gifted voices of tomorrow.

‘Super Singer Junior’ will showcase young prodigies who were shortlisted amongst thousands of talented singers from the length and breadth of Bengal. Auditions were held at eight zones namely, Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Maldah, Nabadweep, Durgapur, Chandannagar, Midnapore and Kolkata.

These shortlisted uncut gems are now being mentored and groomed to shine, not only with their voice but also with their performance, by a pool of renowned singers like Reshmi, Kinjal, Sovon, Ankan and Trisha who will act as their groomers.

Kumar Sanu, Jeet Gaanguli and Kaushiki Chakraborty – names which have kept Bengal at the forefront of the music scene in the nation, form the judges panel of ‘Super Singer Junior’. They will take the responsibility to evaluate these little wonders and provide them with the right feedback during their journey towards super stardom.

The ever popular Rooqma Ray will present and host this show. The versatile actor will take this journey of music and dreams with the upcoming singing stars.

Impressing upon the magnanimity of ‘Super Singer Junior’ is the intricately designed and sheer scale of the set. The elaborate set will depict the grandeur of the concept and the theme of the show.

‘Super Singer Junior’ is being produced by Subhankar Chatterjee Productions, a leading production house in Bengal, which has carved a niche in the Bengali Entertainment Industry by presenting diverse nonfiction format shows and events.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Subhankar Chatterjee, Producer, ‘Super Singer Junior’ said, “The love for music, culture and the arts is infused in the soil of Bengal. ‘Super Singer Junior’ launches on Star Jalsha HD & SD on 1st June, every weekend at 20:30.
