SRK rejects ‘Bigg Boss’, Akshay to step in?
Shah Rukh Khan has rejected to host the upcoming series of ‘Bigg Boss’ on Colors due to time constraints.
The channel was hoping to rope in the megastar after last year’s host Amitabh Bachchan was poached by Sony Entertainment Television Asia for its gameshow ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
A source told ZEE News, “The channel went all out to get Shah Rukh to host ��Bigg Boss 4�۪. They even offered him a larger remuneration than Big B. But SRK could not agree to play host because of lack of time. The dates for ��Bigg Boss 4�۪ clashed with Shah Rukh�۪s shooting schedule for Farhan Akhtar�۪s ��Don 2�۪ with Priyanka Chopra in Bali.”
On one hand reports suggest that Colors did not want Amitabh Bachchan to host the show due to his commitment with Sony TV, other say that the channel has a policy not to repeat the same hosts on ‘Bigg Boss’.
Grapevine has it that the channel may now be trying to get Akshay Kumar to play host on ‘Bigg Boss 4’. And the sad part is that if Akki doesn�۪t agree, the show might even end up having a non-film celeb as host.
