Sony Pictures Networks confirms closure of Sony Mix in India

Sony Pictures Networks has confirmed the closure of music channel, Sony Mix in India.

The sudden decision to close the popular channel has many viewers expressing their dismay on social media. Many are upset and questioning why Sony Mix is shutting down after a decent run in India ratings. In the UK, Sony Mix closed down last year after it was replaced by Sony MAX 2.

Sony Pictures Networks informed customers and platforms carrying the channel that Sony Mix will no longer be available after midnight on Monday 30th March. As well as Sony Mix, Sony Pictures Networks has confirmed discontinuing Sony ESPN, after ESPN’s parent company Disney acquired the Star India channels.
