Sonam Kapoor turns down a 1.5 crore Dahi Handi appearance

As the popular Dahi Handi festival approaches, many Bollywood actors are being approached to attend various events happening throughout Mumbai. Actress Sonam Kapoor was also approached to attend a Dahi Handi festival, being offered 1.5 crore for a ten minute appearance, but she has turned the offer down, as she feels the festival is unsafe.

A source��close to��Kapoor told the Hindustan Times, “Sonam is aware of the numerous accidents that occur during the festival annually. And through��she was requested��to make appearances at a few pandals across the city-she was even offered RS 1.5 crore��for a 10 minute appearance at one of��them-she has turned all of them down.”

Meanwhile, Kapoor is currently working on her next, ‘Neerja’, a bio-pic on the late flight attendant, Neerja Bhanot.
