As reported last week, Kareena Kapoor Khan was tipped to receive an honour at London�۪s House of Commons and BizAsia were on hand today to see the actress attain this accolade.
It was a prestigious occasion at the House of Commons, where Kapoor Khan was received by dignitaries from the world of politics, on behalf of the British Government.�� ‘Asian Sunday’ as well as members of��Bradford Metropolitan District Council��were also honouring Bradford-born celebrities��Dynamo��(AKA Steven Frayne,��Dynamo: Magician Impossible) alongside��Kimberley Walsh��(singer-songwriter, model, television presenter, actress and band member of Girls Aloud).
Bollywood diva Kapoor Khan looked ravishing in her green and gold embroidered shalwar kameez and truly was the star of the occasion. She was keen to meet everyone who was present from the British Government and said she had even had to write a speech for the occasion because it meant so much to her.
Upon receiving her award, Kapoor Khan talked about how her husband Saif Ali Khan questioned why she was receiving the award when he had more links to the UK, having studied in England as a student. Kapoor Khan also spoke extensively about her love for the UK and how she loved coming here to shoot her films.
