Sidharth Malhotra undergoing vigorous training for Vikram Batra biopic

Though he has worked in numerous action film before, playing the lead double-role in the forthcoming Captain Vikram Batra biopic is one that Sidharth Malhotra seems to be taking extra care on. If news is to be believed, the actor is currently undergoing some vigorous training for the film.

Playing both Batra and his twin brother Vishal Batra, the film has been titled ‘Kargil: Sher Shah’ Deccan Chronicle reports a source revealing, “Sidharth along with cast has been training on how to perform the army drills, right from rope climbing to other rigorous activities and has also been getting accustomed to using heavy military weapons. This training is to get the body language and army etiquette correct.  Even though Sidharth has played a soldier earlier in Neeraj Pandey’s ‘Aiyaary’ (2018), this film has more action sequences and needs him to perform like a soldier.”

Shooting will apparently begin in May starting off in Chandigarh then going to Batra’s hometown Palampur.
