Sanjay Gupta confirms ‘Kaabil 2’ with Hrithik Roshan
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta has officially confirmed that a sequel to the 2017 hit thriller ‘Kaabil’ is in the works, much to the delight of fans and trade circles alike. ‘Kaabil’, which starred Hrithik Roshan in a critically praised performance as a blind man driven to exact revenge, has developed a loyal following since its release and is now set to return with a fresh chapter.
Gupta’s announcement came via a spirited response on X (formerly Twitter), where he teased the project by replying to a fan’s post asking about the long-awaited sequel. In his message, the director confirmed that Kaabil 2 is ready and hinted that the follow-up will be “far deadlier” than the original, suggesting a darker and more intense narrative.
The sequel confirmation follows remarks by Roshan himself last year, when the actor expressed that ‘Kaabil’ is a film deserving of a continuation. At the time, he singled it out as one of his own movies that should see a sequel, further fuelling anticipation among audiences.
