Sangeeta Bijlani pulls out of comeback film

The beautiful Sangeeta Bijlani was all set to make her comeback in Onir’s forthcoming project but BizAsia has learnt that the actress has decided to pull out of the project due to the intimate scenes she would have had to do.

Talking to TOI, Onir confirmed the news, “I had approached Sangeeta some months ago as I felt she was perfect for the role of this high society diva. However, during the workshops, she developed apprehensions and said that she can’t kiss or shoot certain bold scenes, which are important to the story.”

“She wasn’t comfortable with that kind of intimacy, so she decided to step back. As a filmmaker, I didn’t want to compromise with the story and I was okay with letting her go, even though we have become friends in the past few months. I hope I will be able to find someone who will do justice to the role the way she could have,” he added.

Bijlani, in her hey day, was very comfortable doing such bold scenes but it seems life experiences and spending time away from the big screen has made her re-think intimacy on the screen now.
