Salman Khan-SRK set to film for ‘Pathan’ before moving to ‘Tiger 3’

Back in November last year, Shah Rukh Khan started shooting for the Siddharth Anand directed action thriller, ‘Pathan,’ at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Soon after that, the leading lady of the film, Deepika Padukone, joined the production for some key sequences before the schedule was wrapped by mid-December. Filming resumed in January in UAE before, as per new reports, the third schedule of shooting begins tomorrow back at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.

Superstar Salman Khan, who has an extended cameo in the film, will start shooting for his part from tomorrow alongside Shah Rukh, reports Pinkvilla. A source close to the production said, “It’s a 10-to-12-day work for Salman, and he will be shooting for almost all his scenes in the film with SRK. While they have acted in multiple films before and even done cameo for each other, their chemistry in Pathan is going to be special and the biggest till date. Aditya Chopra along with his team of writers and director, have come up with scenes that will justify the presence of the two mighty Khans.”

As well as his appearance in ‘Pathan,’ a spy thriller, Salman also has the third instalment of him playing a spy in the ‘Tiger’ franchise to look forward to. In fact, ‘Pathan’ will see a crossover with ‘Tiger,’ which will eventually lead to a collective universe of spies. Salman is expected to wrap up his part on the film by 6th March, and then start shooting for ‘Tiger 3,’ directed by Maneesh Sharma, at Yash Raj Studios.

“Right after wrapping up Pathan, Salman moves on to Tiger 3. He will be shooting with his Zoya, Katrina Kaif and the antagonist, Emraan Hashmi, in the first schedule of Tiger 3 from second week of March. It’s expected to be a month-long stint as the team then takes a short break before flying off for their overseas schedule. While Europe is their key location of shoot right now, it all depends eventually on the covid scenario on-ground. The overseas schedule is expected to commence around end of May/Early June,” the source added.

‘Pathan’ is looking for an early 2022 release in January whereas ‘Tiger 3’ is eyeing at the Eid 2022 timeframe.
