Salim Khan speaks up against critics of Salman’s verdict

It’s been a long trial for Salman Khan in regards to his hit-and-run case. Though he has not been charged on the basis of there not being sufficient evidence, there are many who feel the actor has got off lightly. However, Khan’s father Salim Khan has spoken out about the ordeal his son has gone through.

“People are saying he (Salman) has just walked away. He has been in the jail for few days. He has spent over Rs 20-25crores (on the case). Besides this, what about the tension that he and everyone went through all this time?” Pinkvilla reported the ex-scriptwriter stating.

Talking of how everyone is feeling about the final verdict Khan went onto add, “Everybody is happy. Every person who is close to Salman emotionally, is happy. I am happy and relieved.”

The actor was accused of drink-driving, and his car had spun off the road and crashed, killing one man and injuring four others. It was said that Khan’s driver was at the wheel.
