Rishi Kapoor who has been undergoing treatment for cancer in America, is due to return back to India soon, and news is that he already has a project lined-up for him that will reunite him and Juhi Chawla back onscreen.
Reported on Times Now News, the film which remains untitled will be directed by debutant Hitesh Bhatia. A close source shares, “The film, written by Bhatia and Supratik Sen, started production last September. But Rishi’s health started deteriorating at that time and the RK Studio sale was also announced. A bigger catastrophe befell the Kapoors when Krishna Raj Kapoor expired hours after Rishi left for New York for his treatment. Now with Rishi’s return after by the end of August, the makers are readying to go on the floors.”
Kapoor and Chawla starred in several films together during the 90s, such as, ‘Eena Meena Deeka’ (1994), ‘Ghar Ki Izzat’ (1994), ‘Saajan Ka Ghar’ (1994).
The ‘Mulk’ (2018) actor is hoping that he will return back in India before his 67th birthday, “Yes, I am trying to return by August-end, depending on what the doctors at the hospital said. I have recovered well and I am feeling good. Must be 100% fit by the time I am back,” said Kapoor.
