Rishi Kapoor bags second role as villain

‘Agneepath’ (2012) gave way to a few new characters which audiences would have noticed from the 1990 original, one being Rauf Lala played by Rishi Kapoor.It was a first for Kapoor who had otherwise always been known for his soft-hearted and good-guy roles. However, such was the impression created by his performance that he has not landed himself the role of villain in Yash Raj Films’ ‘Aurangzeb’.

Talking to Times of India, a YRF spokesperson has confirmed the news. The film is thought to be a modern day take on 1978’s ‘Trishul’ and ‘Ishaqzaade’ (2012) debutant Arjun Kapoor in a double role.

‘Aurangzeb’ will also be bringing together Amrita Singh and Jackie Shroff.
