Following the earlier announcement of Remo D’Souza producing ‘Nawabzaade’, the film has still not begun shooting or found backers who are willing to invest in the project. The film was announced last year and was to be directed by one of D’Souza’s assistants.
The film had been met with excitement as it had participants from popular reality dance show ‘Dance India Dance’ in lead roles. Dharmesh Yelande, Mayur Barot, Punit Pathak and Raghav Juyal were all lined up to star in the dance genre film with reports that Shakti Mohan was to play the lead female role.
However due to no investors willing to support the project, D’Souza is on the lookout for an established actress to play the lead to make it more attractive. According to BoxOffice India, D’Souza is still keen to make the film but is looking to see how he can make it more attractive to investors.
