Priyanka discusses pressure of being an actor & producer

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made a name for herself on her own in both Hollywood and Bollywood. Now, she has also added a producer credit to her name. Jonas’s latest film ‘The Sky Is Pink’ (2019), stars her as the lead actress as well as listed as one of the producers.

In a recent interview, she was asked about the pressure he deals with while playing both the roles. She said that she has stopped taking pressure long ago. She stated that now she does not have to depend on others to make choices and that has given her the confidence to take up multiple roles. She said, “I took pressure many years ago. Now, I don’t. I think it stopped when I reached a point where I could make choices about the work that I wanted to do, when I didn’t have to depend on people coming to me with work. That sort of shifted not too long ago, just four or five years ago may be.”

She further went on to say, “Unfortunately with female actors, there is a lot of depending on a lot of people to approve before you are cast in a film. It is the truth. That shifted for me just recently. I guess that gave me confidence to be a producer, to be able to helm films that I wanted to make.”

Jonas, who is currently in America, celebrated her first Diwali with her husband Nick Jonas, reports Spotboye.

‘The Sky Is Pink’ is currently out in cinemas now.
