Priyanka Chopra found playing Hollywood villain “fun”

Setting the bar higher than anyone would have ever imagined her to, Priyanka Chopra’s next venture will see her playing an evil yet powerful woman in the upcoming Hollywood flick ‘Baywatch’. And apparently, the actress has loved every minute of playing such a character.

As she spoke to the media about her role and the film, Hindustan Times reports Chopra explaining, “Oh how I love being bad!! Victoria Leeds (her character) is a different kind of villain…she’s evil but she makes being bad look so good! I had so much fun playing the character.”

“I just gave myself up to the character. I understood her and then began to enjoy each moment as she would,” she went on to add.

The actress will be sharing the screen with some of Americans top A-list actors, who were all extremely supportive. “I also had a great director in Seth (Gordon) and amazing co-stars like DJ (Dwayne Johnson), Zac (Efron), Alexandria (Daddario) and Kelly (Rohrbach), who helped me bring out all the evil,” the actress went on to say.

This isn’t the first time Chopra has stepped into a negative role. Being one to always take risks, early on in her career she played the villain in the Akshay Kumar starer ‘Aitraaz’ (2004) which won her much acclaim. Talking about her nature as an actor, Chopra stated, “As an actor, I believe I have grown and evolved over the years. My choices of films are a reflection of that. I like to do different things, play difficult characters, pick unusual roles and interesting stories. That hasn’t changed and it never will.”

‘Baywatch’ is set to hit the silver screens on 19th May next year.
