PR exec fired after Shilpa Shetty’s book embarrassment

Following Shilpa Shetty Kundra being trolled on Twitter after suggesting George Orwell’s book ‘Animal Farm’ be used to teach children about caring for animals, the PR agency handling her work has ended up taking the blame.

Her comments in a magazine resulted in embarrassment for the actress. However her agency has clarified the fault was at their feet, having used Google to search for a title on books about caring for animals and farming. A PR executive in the agency has since lost their job, having been fired following the comical controversy.

Shetty Kundra is well known for her UK ‘Big Brother appearance’, a television programme named after the national leader from another George Orwell book ‘1984’.
