Performance over good body for Swara Bhaskar

After an award-winning performance in ‘Nil Battey Sannata’ (2016), Swara Bhaskar is undoubtedly on a career-high. The actress has recently stated that the attention has now shifted from actors bodies to their performances and the quality of the films.

Absolute India quote Bhaskar saying, “Of course, we still love toned bodies… We all do. But the audience has moved away from the idea that a toned body or beautiful looking people can substitute for a good story, script or performances.”

The actress went on to add that actors and actresses themselves are also focusing more on their performances and not only their appearance, which could potentially be as not all actors now are from “the fold of star children and models”.
