Pakistan to welcome new entertainment channel, Hey TV

A new Pakistani entertainment channel is preparing for launch, with Hey TV set to join the market under the leadership of Sajeer Abbas of Mediacon Network.

Abbas, through his company Evolution Advertising & Marketing, has previously overseen international operations for Hum Europe, Hum Middle East and Dunya News. His portfolio also includes managing sales rights for Express USA, launching Express Entertainment USA, managing sales rights for Geo in Canada and the US (mainstream), and supervising sales rights for Hum TV Middle East, Hum World and Hum Europe. He has also managed sales rights for Dunya News USA and provided broadcast solutions for Express News USA and Express Entertainment USA.

Hey TV will roll out a slate of original dramas, including ‘Haal‑e‑Dil’ starring Feroze Khan and Nawal Saeed, unveiled as part of the channel’s first wave of programming.

Given Abbas’ extensive experience in international markets, plans are expected to follow for Hey TV to expand beyond Pakistan.
