Overnights: Star Screen Awards big draw on NYE

Special programming on New Years Eve proved a ratings winner for most UK Asian TV channels, with Star Screen Awards on Star Plus doing exceptionally well.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, the Star Screen Awards -Main Event, hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, at 20:30 fetched 100,300 viewers – peaking at 150,100 viewers. The preceding ‘Red Carpet Event’ at 20:00 delivered 106,000 viewers, while the Star Screen Awards – Technical at midnight could only muster in 16,600 viewers. The biggest show on UK Asian TV last night was ‘Saathiya’ at 19:00 with 113,700 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 10’ at 21:00 delivered 98,100 viewers – one of its biggest ever audiences, making ‘Bigg Boss 10’ the biggest hit on Colors UK in 2016. Earlier in the evening, ‘Naagin – Season 2’ was watched by 18,600 viewers and ‘Indian Television Academy Awards’ at 17:00 pulled in 16,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ delivered 36,100 viewers, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 9,400 viewers and ‘Kairi’ at 19:00 with 6,200 viewers.

On &TV, ‘The Voice India’ at 20:00 topped ratings with 46,300 viewers, followed by ‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’ at 18:30 with 17,700 viewers and ‘Hoshiyaar’ at 21:30 with 6,700 viewers.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Kaala Patthar’ at 14:15 was watched by 23,100 viewers, followed by ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ at 11:00 with 5,700 viewers and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ at 21:00 with 2,100 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Natak’ led with 34,300 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Fun Khana’ at 19:00 with 24,500 viewers and ‘Hum Style Awards’ at 21:00 with 22,000 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Khushiyan’ at 19:00 raked in 8,000 viewers, followed by ‘Khuda Aur Mohabbat’ at 20:00 with 4,200 viewers.

On B4U Music, ‘Bollywood Scoop’ at 18:30 topped ratings with 13,600 viewers, followed by ‘First Cut’ at 15:30 with 5,000 viewers.
