Overnights: Star Plus delivers best ratings of 2019 on Wednesday in UK

Star TV UK is rejoicing today after its flagship channel, Star Plus surprisingly took a huge leap in UK ratings on Wednesday, giving it one of the best ratings day of 2019 so far.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, Star Plus delivered a whopping share of 0.24%, Hum TV and PTC Punjabi with 0.12%, Star Gold was next with 0.11%, followed by Geo TV with 0.09%, New Vision TV with 0.07%, Sony Entertainment Television with 0.06%, Sony MAX, Sony SAB TV and Living Foodz with 0.05%, Star Bharat with 0.04%, ARY Family with 0.03%, ZEE TV and Colors with 0.02%.

Star Plus’ ratings surge was down to its strong afternoon programmes with ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 14:30 with 41,900 viewers, followed by ‘Gustakh Dil’ at 15:30 with 36,300 viewers and ‘Dreamgirl’ at 14:00 with 32,900 viewers. The evening shows were led by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ pulling in 52,100 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Krishna Chali London’ at 20:00 with 46,800 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 46,200 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 38,600 viewers and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 23,200 viewers.

On Star Gold, IPL 2019 coverage of Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals was watched by 38,700 viewers at 15:20. The repeat telecast at 19:15 pulled in 3,600 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Patiala Babes’ at 21:00 was top show with 34,300 viewers, followed by ‘Ladies Special’ at 21:30 with 32,300 viewers and ‘Mere Sai’ with 19,200 viewers at 18:45.

ZEE TV’s new schedule was topped by ‘Man Mohini’ at 22:00 and ‘Punar Vivah’ at 13:30 both with 10,800 viewers each.

On Colors, ‘Sitaara’ led with 9,900 viewers at 23:00.
