Overnights: Sony TV storms Sunday’s UK ratings


Sony Entertainment Television performed strongly on Sunday in UK ratings beating all of its rivals, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com .

Top 10 most watched Asian TV channels in UK on Sunday

1. Sony TV – 0.14% (Share)
2. New Vision TV – 0.10% (Share)
3. ZEE Cinema – 0.08% (Share)
4. B4U Movies – 0.08% (Share)
5. PTC Punjabi – 0.07% (Share)
6. Sony MAX – 0.07% (Share)
7. Star Plus – 0.06% (Share)
8. Star Gold – 0.05% (Share)
9. Geo News – 0.05% (Share)
10. ZEE TV – 0.04% (Share)

Other channels that missed out on a slot inside the Top 10 were Colors and &TV both with 0.03% share, Hum TV with 0.02% and Geo TV with 0.01%.

Sony Entertainment Television had the biggest attractions on Sunday with ‘Crime Patrol’ leading with 37,700 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Indian Idol 10’ with 37,000 viewers at 20:00 and ‘KBC Ka Hindustan’ at 22:00 with 31,000 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’ led with 13,400 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Qayamat Ki Raat’ with 12,300 viewers and ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 19:00 with 11,000 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Dance Deewane’ was the biggest show with 17,600 viewers, followed by ‘Naagin 3’ at 20:00 with 4,900 viewers and ‘Kaun Hai?’ at 22:30 with 3,700 viewers.

On ZEE TV, film ‘Half Girlfriend’ was watched by 16,000 viewers, followed by ‘America’s Smartest Family’ at 11:00 with 1,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Dastaan’ was top choice with 10,200 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Jago Pakistan Jago’ with 7,800 viewers and ‘Ishq Tamasha’ with 6,700 viewers.

PTC Punjabi did well with its evening movie boosting the channel’s overall share. It was rated higher than other giants including Star Plus, ZEE TV, Colors and Hum TV.
