Star Plus’ ‘SaraswatiChandra’ remains the most watched Asian TV show in the UK and has been for the past week, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘SaraswatiChandra’, which broadcasts at 19:30 on Star Plus, pulled in 214,600 viewers – peaking at 248,000 viewers. In second place was ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 186,600 viewers and in third was ‘Meri Bhabhi’ with 141,000 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Mahabharat’ (139,000), ‘Saathiya’ (94,900), ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ (85,200), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (77,100), ‘Veera’ (73,300), ‘Ek Ghar Banaunga’ (66,900) and ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2’ (44,700).

On Colors, the entry of new housemate Asif Azim was watched by 67,100 viewers – peaking at 84,200 viewers, while ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ repeat at 23:00 with 30,300 viewers, followed by ‘Balika Vadhu’ repeat at 22:30 with 29,700 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagaan’ at 20:30 got a record breaking 125,800 viewers, followed by ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ with 102,700 viewers and ‘Na Aana Iss Desh Laado’ in third with 95,100 viewers. ‘Parichay’ was in fourth with 77,600 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was top with 31,200 viewers, followed by ‘Geet’ re-run with 29,600 viewers and ‘Mahadev’ next with 24,000 viewers. ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ at 20:30 got 11,200 viewers, while ‘Do Dil Ek Jaan’ at 21:00 managed 10,500 viewers. ‘Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ re-run rated zero.

On Sony SAB TV, ‘Baal Veer’ was top with 53,000 viewers, followed by ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ with 27,600 viewers and ‘Jeanie Aur Juju’ in third with 25,700 viewers.
