Star Plus’ much awaited new series of medical drama ‘Sanjivani’ made a promising star in UK ratings on Monday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
The show helmed by Siddharth Malhotra, features Mohnish Bahl, Surbhi Chandna, Gurdeep Kohli and Namit Khanna. It launched in the 19:00 slot, with 52,400 viewers – making it the fourth most watched show in UK after ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 86,900 viewers, ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ at 20:00 with 62,200 viewers and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 53,700 viewers (the earlier episode at 18:30 could only manage 4,300 viewers). Other shows in the pecking order were ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 33,000 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 31,600 viewers, ‘Nazar’ at 23:30 with 18,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 22:00 with 17,100 viewers and ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 with 3,700 viewers.
PTC Punjabi smashed records with its biggest ever share. The channel notched up 0.22%. It was followed by Star Plus with 0.17%, Hum TV and Sony Entertainment Television with 0.10%, Geo TV and New Vision TV with 0.05%, ZEE TV, Star Gold and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, ARY Family, Sony MAX 2 and Dunya News with 0.03%, Colors and Foodxp with 0.02%.
