Star Plus’ ‘Pyaar Ka Dard Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara’ climbed back to the top position as the most watched Asian TV show in the UK last night.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia from Attentional, the drama got a viewership of 185,700 – peaking at 235,600 – easily beating off competition from rival shows. The soon to go off-air show ‘Yeh Khamoshiyan’ was in second place with a decent 169,600 at 19:30. In third place was ‘Saathiya’ with 156,000.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ (153,800), Veera (123,000), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (116,900), ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ (114,900) and ‘Kaali Ek Punaravtar’ (111,200).

ARY News did consistently well during primetime by even beating the likes of Zing, Sahara One and Sony SAB in some timebands. ‘Jurm Bolta Hai’ at 14:00 was the most watched show with 20,200 viewers. ‘Ab Tak’ at midday was watched by 16,700. The news bulletin at 22:00 was in third place securing a viewership of 15,500.

Rishtey’s ‘Jeevan Saathi’ at 20:00 was the day’s most watched show on the channel with 71,000 viewers. The serial ‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui’ at 19:00 was in second place with 59,000. ‘Bairi Piya’ was in third with 44,400 viewers at 20:30.

Star Life Ok’s ‘Junoon’ at 21:30 was the channel topper yesterday with 45,700. In second place was ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 with 42,100 viewers. ‘Welcome’ continued to do well with a respectable 40,200 viewers.

Zing’s ‘Cloud 9’ tumbled back down in the ratings to just zero in all four telecast yesterday. ‘Dance India Dance’ at 15:00 was the most watched show with just 3,900 viewers.
