‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’ has knocked its rivals for six after topping the ratings – with one of the biggest ever audience figures for the popular show on Star Plus.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Pyar Ka Dard Hai’, which airs at 22:00 weeknights got a huge 283,400 viewers – the best ever ratings in recent times. It peaked further to a record 349,800 viewers during the course of the show.

In second place was ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’, which too saw a massive rise in its viewership attracting 252,300 viewers last night at 21:00, followed by ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’ with the best figure in four months on the channel. It pulled in 211,200 viewers at 20:30.

The others in the pecking order were ‘Veera’ (188,900), ‘SaraswatiChandra’ (183,300), ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ (175,900), ‘MasterChef India’ (168,500) and ‘Saathiya’ (133,400)

On Rishtey, ‘Bairi Piya’ got the biggest audience on the channel with 72,200 viewers, followed by ‘Jeevan Saathi’ (65,900) and ‘Swarg’ (64,500).

On Star Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ attracted 26,700 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Amrit Manthan’ (24,700) and ‘Devon Ka Dev Mahadev’ (19,900).

On Zing, ‘Cloud 9’ at 18:30 and 22:30 rated zero.

On ITV4, the second match in the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians attracted 334,300 viewers – peaking at a huge 622,400 viewers during the 15:00 – 19:30 telecast.
