Overnights: Fictions overtake ‘Bigg Boss 8’ on Colors

With ‘Bigg Boss 8’ taking a hit in the ratings last night, it was the turn of fictions on Colors to shine, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

‘Udaan’ at 20:00 was the biggest show on UK Asian television last night with a record 103,500 viewers, followed by ‘Shastri Sisters’ at 20:30 with 84,900 viewers and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ at 19:30 with 71,000 viewers. ‘Bigg Boss 8’ was the fourth most watched show on Colors with 69,400 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ took lead with 99,700 viewers at 19:30, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ with 85,600 viewers and ‘Saathiya’ in third with 83,900 viewers. ‘Nisha Aur Uske Cousins’ was the least popular show on the channel with just 15,900 viewers tuning in.

On Zing, the revamped schedule proved disappointing in the ratings last night with just movie ‘Teri Meri Kahani’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra performing. It raked in 3,400 viewers at 20:00. ‘Bollywood Life’, ‘Brits Bollywood’ and ‘Chronicles Of Bollywood’ all raked in near 1,000 viewers.

On UMP Movies, ‘Yuva’ pulled in 16,900 viewers at 18:05, followed by ‘Rocket Singh’ with 8,700 viewers at 21:00.

On Geo TV, ‘Meri Maa’ at 22:00 was top show on the channel with 6,800 viewers, followed by ‘Laadon Mein Palli’ at 21:00 with 4,300 viewers and the repeat earlier at 16:00 raked in 4,500 viewers.

On Hum TV Europe, ‘Mehram’ at 20:00 was top show with 20,600 viewers, followed by ‘Behad’ at 22:00 with 13,000 viewers.

On Brit Asia TV, ‘Happy New Year’ special at 19:30 was top show with 6,400 viewers, followed by highlights from last year’s Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at 21:30 with 4,200 viewers. ‘The Sunny And Shay Show’ at 20:00 could only register around 300 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Meri Aashiqui’ was top show with 68,200 viewers, followed by ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ at 19:30 raked in 30,400 viewers and ‘Parichay’ in third with 23,300 viewers.

On Life Ok, ‘Savdhaan India’ was top with 27,400 viewers, followed by ‘Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh’ at 21:30 with 20,400 viewers and ‘Laut Aao Trisha’ at 20:30 with 19,300 viewers.
