Overnights: BritAsia TV pips Sony TV from No.1 on Thursday in UK

In a surprising twist to UK ratings on Thursday, BritAsia TV emerged as the No.1 Asian TV broadcaster, relegating Sony TV into second place, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

BritAsia TV delivered a share of 0.16%, followed closely behind by Sony TV with 0.15%, Star Plus with 0.10%, Star Gold with 0.08%, Colors with 0.07%, Hum TV and New Vision TV with 0.06%, Star Bharat, Geo TV, ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema and PTC Punjabi with 0.04%, Colors Rishtey, Sony SAB TV and Geo News with 0.03%.

BritAsia TV’s top shows on Thursday were between 13:00 – 16:30 with viewership of 34,900 viewers, followed by a strong output between 19:00 – 22:00.

Sony TV’s top shows were ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 11’ at 21:00 with 66,900 viewers, followed by ‘Mere Sai’ at 19:00 with 38,200 viewers, ‘Patiala Babes’ at 20:30 with 35,000 viewers and ‘Tara From Satara’ at 19:30 with 19,200 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ was No.1 show with 62,000 viewers at 20:00, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 59,000 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 42,900 viewers, ‘Sanjivani’ at 19:00 with 33,900 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 27,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 18:00 with 14,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 11,900 viewers and ‘Nazar’ at 22:00 with 5,000 viewers. ‘Namah’ at 18:30 raked in 2,200 viewers.

On Star Gold, live cricket between India V South Africa was watched by 12,000 viewers average at 08:00. Movie ‘Sholay’ at 22:00 pulled in 12,500 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Bigg Boss 13’ fetched an audience of 46,100 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ at 19:30 with 17,500 viewers and ‘Kitchen Champion’ at 20:30 with 10,500 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Malaal-e-Yaar’ delivered 15,900 viewers, followed by ‘Muqaddas’ at 20:00 with 12,700 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Guddan’ was watched by 16,400 viewers at 18:30.
