No films with Khans doesn’t bother Bipasha Basu

Bipasha Basu Alone

Bipasha Basu has been in Bollywood for around a decade and a half but the actress is yet to be paired opposite the mightiest Khans of the industry; Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir. She feels that it doesn’t matter for her at all as she has her own identity in the industry.

Basu, whose latest release ‘Alone’ (2015)is getting mixed response at the box office, told IANS, “There have been many actresses who debuted with the mighty Khans and then suddenly went missing from the industry. So, how can you rate a stint with the Khans as a career booster?”

She also gave an instance to support her claim, saying, “When I debuted in Bollywood back in 2001 with Ajnabee, another actress Gracy Singh entered the industry with Lagaan opposite Aamir Khan. It was an iconic flick. But even after getting such a big break, she is missing today and I am still here. So, what’s the point in working with the Khans?”

The Bengali actress has worked in several big flick like ‘Raaz’ (2002), ‘No Entry’ (2005), ‘Dhoom 2’ (2006) but have also developed an image of being Bollywood horror crusader. However, now the actress wants to reveal her funny side before the audiences. “I want to work in a good comedy movie, not a slapstick comedy. People are yet to see my funny side. And I would love to show them my performance in a witty character,” concluded Basu.

Basu has shared the screen with Salman in ‘No Entry’ (2005) in the title song.
